With so many versions of the song by Mariah herself and the tons of covers, who would have thought there could be another version to blow all the others away? BAM, Mariah did it again with The Roots and Jimmy Fallon.

Michael’s First Christmas
I only had this clip on my facebook, but it really belongs here. This is a clip of Michael Jackson and Elizabeth Taylor as they celebrate Christmas in 1993. Best ever Xmas.
Thanks Claus.
Happy Holidays
Happy Holidays, dear readers.
I would like to share a quote from Myra Breckinridge by Gore Vidal, which I am currently reading. It uses one of my favourite holiday related words, which I had never heard before this December (thanks to El Bear Ho): Bauble.
“I preferred to be Greer Garson, a gracious lady whose compassionate breasts were more suited to be last pillow for a dying youth than the baubles for the coarse hands of some horny boy.”
Mariah Sunrise
E=MC² is about to be released tomorrow and Mariah is on all channels.
It’s basically like Christmas in April.
Today 3:00pm, ABC, The Oprah Winfrey Show
April 15th 8:00pm, FOX, American Idol
April 16th 7:30pm, BET, E=MC²: The Relativity of Mariah
April 16th 9:00pm, FOX, American Idol
April 25th 7:00am, ABC, Good Morning America
April 25th 9:00am, CTV, Live With Regis and Kelly
Another highlight is happening in NYC: during the weekend of April 25-27 the Empire State Building lights up in purple, pink and white for E=MC².
One of my favourite E=MC² reviews is courtesy of The Guardian, here is an excerpt:
“Endearingly ditzy high-camp abounds on E=MC². The very first notes of the album find Carey swooping around her famed whistle register, revelling in how high her voice can go, before metamorphosing into a synth whistle riff. Over the course of the album, Carey compares herself to ice cream, the lottery, a chandelier, Biggie and 2Pac, weed and her favourite jeans. On the glorious disco bounce of OOC, she breaks into Italian, Spanish and French in the space of one verse for no discernible reason other than that she can (surely the very essence of divadom). (…)
Brilliantly, the music more than matches Carey’s flights of fancy.”
Happy Holidays
Thanks for coming to our Hotnuts holiday party. Princess Drifty mezmerised us with her hypnotic beats. Festive fun. More pictures after the jump.

Season’s Greetings
John Waters is in town for tonight’s show, A John Waters Christmas.
To get you in the mood, there is an interview with him in the The Star and have a look at the John Waters Christmas cards from 1994 to 2004.
It’s The Season
Thanks Michael H.
More Pee-Wee at Claude’s.
Floam It
This is the best christmas present I got this season. Pink Floam. I got hooked on Floam when I saw the Floam commercial. Make sure to watch it on the Floam homepage. Floam. Floam. Floam. Floam. Floam. Floam. Floam. I wanted this Floam so badly.
Laying my hands on the Pink Floam for the first time was like drinking a glass of sparkling pink champagne. Excitement bubbles rushed through my veins. Uuuuuh. Floam.
Here a couple of things I build out of my Pink Floam.
I could go on for hours playing with FLOAM. It’s fun you can feel!
Mash It… Mold It… Mix It… Smoosh It… Bounce It… Eat It… Lick It… Kiss It… FLOAM It…

My One Wish For Christmas
Christmas Evil.
The greatest Christmas movie ever made.
(John Waters, who provides an audio commentary on the DVD)
I want to watch this movie on Christmas Eve.
Who is going to order it for me and make me the Xmas present of the year?
I’ll write a review. I pomise. Pomise. Pomise.
Want it. Want it. Want it. Want it. Want it. Want it. Want it. Want it.
Need it. Need it. Need it. Need it. Need it. Need it. Need it. Need it.
I hope it is not the biggest slasher, though this might not be possible. I had enough blood this year, when a friend invited me to see Apocalypto last week. But I enjoyed watching it in Yukatek Maya.
Xmas at my house
Vor ein paar Tagen habe ich dieses wundervolle Hexenhäuschen zusammengezimmert. Dabei habe ich mich mit lieblicher Weihnachtsmusik so richtig in Stimmung gebracht. Meine Favoriten…
Lady Raptastic – I’m F***ing Santa
Der Song hat ein Michael Jackson mäßiges Intro, mehrere Stimmen in Layern: It’s Lady Raptastic. Lady Raptastic is here!
Dann legt die Lady los, mit einem “People of the earth” Schrei. Das ist ja wohl der beste Anfang überhaupt.
Come up in my room so big in bold
Told me what to do like he was the boss
I do what I was told, It was Santa Claus
…
My Claus, my Claus, my Claus, my Claus,
My dirty Santa Claus!
Snowwhite tigers
Dance around the christmas tree
Shiny glitter flashing through the night
…
Happyness is here to stay for awhile
Bei der Vorstellung wird mir ganz warm.
Schnappi – Jing! Jingeling!
