Being A Muse According to Gossip Girl

Serena: He asked me to pose for him, in his studio. To be his muse.

Blair: And you said yes?

Serena: Why not? It is romantic.

Blair: No, it’s a death trap. Being a muse never works out.

Serena: Plenty of women have been both lover and muse to famous artists. Like Picasso.

Blair: Serena, a guy starts out in his blue period and everything’s great. But it’s only a matter of time until he’s all into cubism and it’s some other girl’s eye coming out of her forehead.

Leap Day Hot Topic: Limonade & Seele

Sometimes, we have to go way back here at produzentin.com.
I’m thinking Friedrich von Schiller weeks. (Google him, he’s ancient & German)
Let’s start with one of my favourite quotes:

“Die Limonade ist matt, wie deine Seele.”
(Kabale und Liebe)

“The lemonade is weak, like your soul.”
(Intrigue and Love)

‘Weak’ seems to be the official translation for ‘matt’ in this case. But I’d rather use ‘flat’. A more casual translation would probably be:

“The pop is dull, just like your soul.”

Although dull is not the right word, but it sounds so good.
What do you think? Are you down with Schiller?
