I liked Matt Damon and Michael Douglas but Rob Lowe looks the best in Behind The Candelabra. The Liberace & Scott Thorson love story is probably the Gay Impact Movie of the Year.

Drag Holes
Finally, here are the Drag Holes pictures. It was tons of fun. Our bells were ringing all day as we were happy to be part of the Pride Toronto festivities. Thanks Daryl.
Mary and myself were expecting much more sausage action, maybe it was too light outside, maybe we did not have enough poppers. Anyways, we have not seen so many hands in one day. Ever.
Have a look for yourself after the jump. There are a lots of hotties that had their body parts beautified after they slipped them into the Drag Holes.
Drag Holes
A couple of weeks ago Daryl Vocat asked Mary and me to be part of Pride Toronto’s Plot, Engage, Disperse. We thought: Perfect, we’ll bring the circus to the gay village and get some action up- and downstairs:
Stick your favourite body parts through the glory Drag Holes and experience the suspense.
Mary Messhausen and Produzentin will beautify everything you hand over using the most precious materials only. All ages, all LGBTTIQQ2S people.
Pride Saturday, June 27th, 3 to 6pm only
Norman Jewison Park
Just East of Yonge, North of Wellesley
Between Isabella & Gloucester Sts.
In the evening join us for Siegfried & RoyNuts at The Beaver. More on that later.
Here is Mary and my bio, we cut it down to the facts for Pride:
Mary Messhausen and produzentin were found wandering hand-in-hand through the woods by a travelling circus troupe at the age of 4. Raised by the Bearded Lady, these girls learned their tricks by hustling and bustling from the outskirts of St. John’s to the inner harbour of Victoria.
Mary and produzentin, 19 and 20 respectively, currently reside in Toronto, Ontario.
Raw at Inside Out
This Friday, get ready for a great night at Inside Out, Toronto’s LGBTTIQQ2S film and video festival.
There is a rare screening of Viola Klein’s movie Raw. Doc Nancy, Toffi and myself play Hortense, Phyllis and Susan, who live in a self-supporting environment, far away from their former stage, the Vanity Ballroom.
Get tickets for this program Friday, May 15th, 7:45pm.
After that, you should just stay at Cinecycle for a screening of The Beaver Trilogy.
Then, take a cab to The Beaver for the afterparty. Mary Messhausen is hosting, Fay Slift is performing with M+M, Will Munro and Alex W are djing. You don’t want to miss that.
Fancy Lezzies
Wendy & Lisa gave a candid interview to out.com. They’re talking about their relationship, recording with Grace Jones, their time with Prince in The Revolution and recording an album with Trevor Horn in the 90ties which did not get released, partly because of his homophobic remarks.
I love how they describe Prince as a “fancy lesbian” and getting more upset phone calls from him everytime they share some purple memories.
The ladies new album White Flags of Winter Chimneys is available from Wendy & Lisa”™s web site.
Did you first think Prince was gay?
Lisa: He was little and kinda prissy and everything. But he”™s so not gay.
Wendy: He”™s a girl, for sure, but he”™s not gay. He looked at me like a gay woman would look at another woman.
Lisa: Totally. He”™s like a fancy lesbian.
Wendy: I remember being at that “œSexuality” video shoot and him on stage with that little black jacket and that tie thing around his neck and his black pants with white buttons on the side. And we looked at each other for the first time and I thought, “œOh, I could so fall in love with that girl easy.” It doesn”™t matter what sexuality, gender you are. You”™re in the room with him and he gives you that look and you”™re like, “œOkay, I”™m done. It”™s over.” He”™s Casanova. He”™s Valentino.
Wendy: We had an amazing month with [Jones] in our home writing “œWilliams”™ Blood,” becoming friends, and being bizarre divas. We had to pick her up when she woke up in the morning, and the morning to her was like 6 PM.
Lisa: She gets in the back seat of the car and of course we have to stop to buy bottles of champagne. She wanted to play the bass. She kind of couldn”™t, but she could groove like nobody”™s business on one note. She started to sing and I wish I could”™ve seen my own face. I was like —
Wendy and Lisa in near unison: Oh my God, it”™s Nightclubbing! [Jones”™s classic 1981 disco-punk album with the hit “œPull Up to the Bumper”]
Easing into Family Day
We celebrated Family Day with a party in the gay village at Straight. Mary wore her amazing stuffed toy scarf and of course I was happy to wear a Mary dress. Margot did my make up and we were ready to go.
Between my dj sets Mary and I got acquainted with a couple of cute boys. However, we couldn’t decide on whom to start a family with, so we ended the night like we always do: eating. Yummy.
Thanks to the Eva Christina’s for inviting us over.
Check out the pictures (NSFW) after the jump.
Incest at Straight
Next Monday is Family Day in Ontario. Enjoy the long weekend partying with us on Sunday.
Cameron, who runs the spandex-power Eva Christina party at The Beaver has kindly asked us to co-host a special family themed night at Straight.
Get ready for the some Hotnuts at the gay village.
Bring the family jewels!
Sunday, February 15th, 10pm

A Highly Advanced 3D Text Message of My Future Self
Finally, last night I saw some Ryan Trecartin. His 100 minute video I-Be Area kept me on my toes. So much fun to watch, too many lines to remember. I wish my reality was more like that. Identity switching, walking through walls, baby stealing(?), blotchy make-up, sped up voices, repeated dialogue. What’s there not to like?
Ryan Trecartin plays a lot of the characters himself, over the top gay pronunciations or a Southern accent included.
Pasta (played by Trecartin) and Wendy M-PEGgy
In this clip, I-Be2 (played by Trecartin) appears at around 3:15, becomes Oliver and changes his name to Amerisha
All of Ryan Trecartin’s videos are on his youtube page.
Let A Lady Moan
When 100% Pure Love by Crystal Waters came out, my Bavarian friend Kiki and I were all over the dance floor of our favourite club, Construction Five (Yes, there were lots of Bauarbeiter, we loved das Milieu. And yes, they let underage girls in).
Had I asked myself where 100% Pure Love’s cowbell came from, I would have stumbled across the following treasure before: Jeanette “Lady” Day – Come Let Me Love You. First pressed as a 12″ on the legendary New York disco label Prelude, it got a so-called Mastermix treatment by Shep Pettibone in 1982. This was one of the mixes that were featured on Shep’s radio show and the biggest mixes were subsequently released on a Prelude compilation.
But now, without further ado, please enjoy the moans and cowbells of Jeanette “Lady” Day.
Download it at the great Beat Electric or listen below.
*attention: well known Madonna trivia following*
I bet Madonna must have heard Jeanette moaning in the 80ties. Why else would she have called Shep? First a couple of remixes for the lady (Color Mix of True Blue) until he finally produced Vogue for Ms. Ciccone.
