HIPPIES USE SIDE DOOR

Back from Vienna for awhile now but I want to go back!
Das Jahr 2014 Hat Sowas Von Ein Rad Ab.
So many Ypsilons at the Cosima von Bonin opening.

Mary Messhausen, Doc Nancy and I were giving out sexy bureaucratic butt stampings that turned everyone into an avid collector. Because of all the hot red tape most people could only get 2 stamps. So if you have more than 2 THEN you must have 3 or even 4 stamps (if you were able to get Cosima’s stamp). It was all about the STAMPS!

See You In Vienna

Hippies Use Side Door

See you in Vienna on October 3rd for the opening of Cosima von Bonin’s exhibition HIPPIES USE SIDE DOOR. THE YEAR 2014 HAS LOST THE PLOT. Starts at 7pm at mumok.

The American-German-Canadian performance group Da Group will link up with further performers in Vienna to open Cosima von Bonin’s exhibition with a flamboyant show. Founder members Oliver Husain, Claus Richter, and Sergej Jensen will be joined by Stefan Müller and Simone Junker, and the group will perform under the name The Ypsilon Five.

Under the pseudonym Die 3 Ypsilons, Canadian-German neo-drag entities Mary Messhausen, Doc Nancy, and Produzentin will bring their own irresistible magical sexflair to the Cosima von Bonin exhibition opening.

Admission free, protective clothing is recommended

For the exhibition, Mary and I have done a video. Watch an excerpt below.

Auf’d at WdW

This was an Euro quicky. I got back from Rotterdam last night and still feel a little bit dizzy. Cosima von Bonin had an opening at Witte de With with the enormous title “Cosima von Bonin’s Far Niente for Witte de With’s Sloth Section, Loop # 01 of the Lazy Susan Series, a Rotating Exhibition 2010 – 2011”.

I don’t know what it was, but I was tumbling through the exhibition all night. Maybe it’s because I watched a bit of Play Time by Tati, which was screened in one of the rooms.

Anyways, at the end of the night, I was handing out the popular “You are Auf’d” postcards to get people to leave the show.

Clam hat by Cosima von Bonin, blouse by Mary Messhausen, skirt by Comme des Garçons.
Thank you Bitz, Conny, Kyle & Toffi.

Auf’d at Très Fatty Gay

Saturday a week ago, I was part of the opening of Cosima von Bonin’s exhibition “The Fatigue Empire”. I had the honour of kicking people out of the Kunsthaus Bregenz. Sounds like the perfect job for me, right? My friend Doc Nancy was also there and drove the car through the 2nd floor of the Kunsthaus. Drink’n’Drive has never been more fun.

I started throwing people out on the 3rd floor by presenting “You Are Auf’d” postcards, which didn’t go down so well. Most people just wanted to stay. So, I said: “All cute people have to leave and you are very cute. Just look around, who’s left?!”.
And down the stairs they went.

Now you can call it performance. But when is a drag queen not performing? HELLO?!

Check out some pictures below and more after the jump. Even more pictures on flickr.

How Do You Say, Fatigue?

It’s best to pronounce it like really gay. Fatty gay.
Can you use it in a sentence? “I’m so fatty gay.”

Cosima von Bonin has a big opening at Kunsthaus Bregenz on Saturday, July 17. I’m very honoured and excited to be part of the night. Right after the opening, there is a party on a boat, where Viola Klein and myself will be djing for all friends, party people and the sea urchins in Lake Constance. If you want to be local, just call it Bodensee. Basically, it’s like Lake Ontario but for Germany and Austria.

What is she going to wear to such an event, you might ask yourself?
Glad you asked. I’m going to wear a dress by Mary Messhausen (of course!), but from her Mary’o’nette collection. The dress features a digital silk print by the one and only Pandy Ramada. I’m so spoiled already. And this is not a hint.

Can’t wait for The Fatigue Empire.
Join in on an exciting night.
