Lucky

Jaime played Lucky by Donna Summer on Saturday and I had totally forgotten about the Giorgio Moroder produced song from the Bad Girls album. I fell in love all over again, of course the rhythm track but also the way Donna sings here. In some parts it almost sounds like fantasy English to me, although the story is pretty straight forward:

I knew he wouldn’t beg
So I gave in without fighting
Been so long since I’ve been this way
Since I loved this way
So I asked him if he would stay for a while

Lucky comes easy
Lucky’s not shy
And if you’re lucky
You’ll go for a ride

I think it would be great on stage in fantasy English.

It seems I have a weakness for songs called Lucky:
If there is nothing missing in my life, then why do these tears come at night.

Lucky be sad.

Onyx Hotel

whimsical!

An “onyx” by definition is a precious black gemstone that emits various colors of light depending on the light you shine into it. The ONYX HOTEL is a unique, mysterious hotel powered by an onyx stone. Each guest who enters this hotel shines their own light into the onyx, and in return, makes their fantasies come to life. It’s a vibrant, whimsical place where wondrous dreams are realized, and the darkest of secrets are revealed.

Und mir gefallen zwei Songs von ihrem Album: Early Mornin’ (produziert von Moby) und The Answer (Australien Bonus und DVD Bonus CD Track, P. Diddy Produktion).
