Been back in Toronto for a little while and finally wanted to share our Postcards from Naxos.
And yes, I was attacked by an octopus at the Fiona Apple Store in Naxos.
Chillin with Mary Messhausen as the Mykohos

So, I spent the last weeks at a cottage north of Toronto. I thought I had to get out of the city for some time. And can you imagine, I did not even have access to the interwebz?! Honestly, I do not know how the peoples survive up there.
After awhile, I got into the cottage life style: Get up. Have some bubbly. Swim away your hangover. More bubbly. Visit your friends by boat. Have a morsel to eat for din din. Have a drink. Socialize. Have more drinks. Pass out on the patio of your newly found friends. Wake up in the morning with no recollection on how you got home.
It was one of those days when I set out for a special cruise.
Be sure to check out the short clip at the end of the post.
Dress by the one and only Prancey Girl.
The map was supposed to show me the way to the cliff pirates.
Finally, I was on the boat & on my way. Fun. Fun. Fun.
Ok. This was not all fun. But a lady knows her way up.
The reward for reaching the top. Me and my best friend, Veuve.
Pure joy. You know I like to pop a cork or two.
Striking a couple of poses on top of the cliff: The one-legged harlequin.
Uhhhh, the fresh breeze up my dress felt so good. I wanted more.
Another cliff pose: Becoming a tree.
Now, I really need to cool off…
Watch out lake: Here comes Proddy.
I felt like a chipper fish in the water.
For extra pleasure: loop the big splash below.
It’s been awhile since a soft drink company contacted me to do an ad campaign (as the Pepsi Jazz and Coca Cola BlÄk jingles were such a success). So I was very happy when Mary Messhausen came back from the motherland with the new south east Asian pop sensation, Pepsi Deluxe.
Today, heaven pumped out another load of the white stuff. To take advantage of the virgin snow, we took our Pepsi Deluxe juices to the toboggan run. When Mary and me got to the top of the hill, we saw little Ella frolicking in the white desert. To gain her trust, we pulled her around the slopes for one hour before running off with her toboggan.
And so, the photo shoot began.
Watch us go down and bump the wood.
We love the Strawberry & Cream and the Creme Caramel flavours

Mary Messhausen and I needed some time off. So when our gingerheaded photographer friend Kyle offered to take us to his cottage right by the water, it sounded like the perfect opportunity to leave the busy city behind.
When we arrived at the cabin we found that run-down raft laying by the lakeside. In a heartbeat we hopped on the makeshift vessel. After the first excitement wound down and the fishing was done, we totally chilled out on the raft. So chilled out that we fell asleep.
After what must have been at least an hour we woke up and could barely see the coast. We felt like the biggest gaytards ever.
Watch the desperation unfold after the jump.

On my trip to Dildo I saw this turbo cute pony eating away its lunch on a front yard. I wanted to get my picture with the little bugger immediately. My stylists rang the doorbell of the owners. Sure enough they happily agreed to the quick photo shoot.
Now, back in Toronto, I’m a bit sad because I forgot the name of my tiny friend.
Friendly. Always eating. Just like me.
Surprised. The pony wanted to bite my hand.
It made very sudden head movements. I had to be extremely careful.
Happy. Hugging the pony. What a catch.
Angry. I had to wash my shoes off of the pony excrements.

On my trip to Dildo I visited the local Dildo Interpretation Centre, which is basically a small museum with all things Dildo.
They have old fishery reports from 1894 one can study, a huge whale skeleton and lots of other interesting nick-nacks. I spent hours wandering through their exhibition grounds. It felt like being part of a lost fantasy world. Truly amazing.
