Stockholm based dj and producer HNNY has created a four-to-the-floor disco / house monster edit of Steve Reich’s hypnotic Nagoya Marimba last summer. The track is only available on a very limited, sold out and pricey vinyl edition. I have been wanting to play it at parties but there is just no high quality digital version available. The soundcloud stream has piled up more than 160K listens over the year. Seems like an underground hit to me.
And now, one year after the original vinyl release there is a re-issue coming out including an extended remake on the b-side. Don’t sleep on it and pre-order now.
