Coming Up is a disco funk US & Canadian number one single released by Paul McCartney in the spring of 1980. I got into it when I found a disco re-edit by Justus K the other day. The video features 10 Paul and 2 Linda McCartneys and a drum kit print of “Plastic Mac Band” poking fun at John Lennon’s and Yoko Ono’s “Plastic Ono Band”. I’ve never been into the former Beatles music or his humor but here we go.

I love Wings and of course Justus Koencke! and listened today to a whole bunchin stuff of The Beatles backwards. After that I saw that my mother is on the AB telling that my brothers house nearly burned down but my beloved brother alive. I wasnt sure, how OLD the message is… called her back, the message was obviously more than 4 days old and her very much hateteted 72year old CDU-Boyfried Manfred was on the phone letting me feel, that I am much too late to say sorry and to offer help, however, I had to tell them, that I m off to go to the Jews soon and can t come to Neuklef cleaning up the verrußte mess.

Und nur wegen der schieren Existenz dieses Liedes, Mull of Kintyre, habe ich mir im Alter von 10 Jahren mit brutaler Vehemenz eine sehr teure (über 700 Mark, das waren 1977 ungefähr 3000 Euro) Farfisa-Orgel von Musiki Behrens (das “i” lasse ich mal stehen) gewünscht und meine arme Mutter gezwungen sie von ihrer Witwenrente und ihrem Zuverdienst (Putzen in der Commerzbank) zu kaufen.
Ich habe nie Orgel spielen gelernt. Mein Bruder verbrachte sie bald in eine Scheune in Windhagen, wo er mit einer Band mit Namen Betretene Bauboten die Orgel kaputtmachte, bevor auch nur ein Auftritt stattgefunden hatte.
obwohl doch da gar keine Orgel vorkommt. Hatte ich etwa die Orgel mit einem Dudelsack verwechselt? Gawd. Möglich wäre es immerhin.
