Back in Toronto from our little trip to Detroit.
We hang out with Aaron-Carl and his wonderful kids on Friday. At night we went to fabulous ghettotech set of him at the Corktown Tavern.
Go to Aaron-Carl’s website to see him perform at some of his first shows ever (there are four clips in the WindowsMediaPlayer, you can skip through them). They make me wish I was already a fan of him back then.
On Saturday night, Pirahnahead took us to Bert’s Marketplace. This is a late night jazz bar, where the local jazz musicians go to after they played their paid gigs around town. I never thought I could like jazz so much. I want to dj jazz records now.
I want my purple ticket and I want it NOW! And I am not Augustus, you fatso, thanks.
Prince is including seven purple tickets inside random copies of his latest CD, 3121, with which you are invited to a private concert at his home.
Just came home from the New Nails party at The Stones Place.

The Science Of Sleep, the new movie by Michel Gondry, had its premiere at Sundance and is now up for a Bär in the competition of the Berlin filmfestival. I liked his last one, Eternal Sunshine, so much.

Went for breakfast. I didn’t feel especially hungry but ordered the huge “Cowboy Breakfast” from the menu. It had everything: 3 eggs, sausages, pancake & maple syrup, home made fries, baked beans and whatnot. I was scared.
Then, after I ate almost everything (except parts of the pancake), the waitress collected my plate and said:
